Have you spotted us scrubbing up your streets? We're out in force with Islington Council’s Cleaner Streets teams this week for the start of the Angel Spring Clean. Jobs underway include jet washing the BID’s bike planters and bins, removing graffiti and stickers, as well as deploying a gully tanker to unblock the drains in the BID area. The BID team also got hands-on with members sweeping out dust and cobwebs from the walkway ceiling and lights along NatWest. Over the next few weeks, Transport for London are also due to:

  • Unblock drains on the red route
  • Repair broken street furniture including re-tiling on Pentonville Road
  • Remove broken bikes
  • Clean the steps on Upper Street
  • Jetwash pavements and bike racks, and high footfall areas

Areas covered during the deep clean are due to include Upper Street, Islington Green, Islington High Street, St John’s Street, Pentonville Road, White Lion Street, Camden Passage, and Liverpool Road. Spotted something that needs cleaning or tidying up? Email Tracy@angelislington.london.
