Pre-loved clothing appeal for parenting support charity
St Mary’s Church is hosting two clothing and equipment donation days for pregnancy support charity Choices. Bring along quality second hand clothing suitable for new and young families to the church on Monday, June 10. The items will then be taken to the Choices’ Boutique so families who need these items can collect them for free. The Islington-based charity, which offers support through pregnancy and gives practical and emotional help with parenting, saw a 39% increase in demand for their services in the last year. Item requests are:
- Clothing for one- to four-year-old girls only
- Clothing for two- to four-year-old boys only
- Buggies
- Moses baskets, travel cots and next to me cribs
- Baby slings/carriers
- Unopened toiletries for baby, toddler and parents
- Blankets, towels, sheets
- Weaning items (bowls, spoons, cups, bottles)
All donated items must be in excellent condition, clean, stain-free and fully functional. Please sort clothes by size and label bags if possible. For more about Choices, visit here.
